These are a few tips and tricks to help you configure your space.  Please consult with your facilities management and our design team to help maximize the use of each space.

Measuring Your Space:

Each state, county and company have different rules, but these are general guidelines to follow when creating your office.

Desk Left:
When Sitting the files are on your left
Desk Right:
When sitting the files are on your right
Furniture Lingo:

'Ped' or 'Pedestal':A file that fits under a worksurface, often referred to as a Box-Box-File or a File-File.

Credenza:The component behind a desk or return, often with storage underneath and a hutch on top.

Hutch:The cabinet or shelf that mounts on top of a desk or credenza. Can be specified with a tack-board under the cabinet or shelf.

L-Station: a desk set up in the shape of an L, consisting of a desk and a return

U-Station: a desk set up in the shape of a U, consisting of a desk, bridge and a credenza.

Workstation: typically refers to a desking system that is supported or surrounded by panels.

‘Spine’: the center run of panels connecting work-stations

‘Wing Panel’: the return panel of a workstation, typically there for work-surface support and also some privacy.

Overhead storage: The closed cabinet or open shelf that is mounted on a panel in a workstation, typically have to be mounted on a 65” or higher panel.

T-mold VS. 3mm Edge: T-mold is a rubber edge band that come in standard colors and wraps around the edging of a work-surface leaving a curved corner. 3mm is a banding that comes in standard color and also a wood look to match the laminate top, it creates a clean straight corner.
